Aspects of medico-legal medicine are taught to both members of the medical & legal professions at various venues including Wolverhampton University &  CLT / Bond Solon, London.

Topics include:

• Obtaining essential medico-legal information

• Assessment of personal injury

• Investigation of alleged clinical negligence

• Screening for clinical negligence

• Defining disability and resultant needs

• Preparation of comprehensive medical report and

• Specific aspects of medico-legal medicine associated with injury, clinical negligence and disability.

Publishing

After a career in medical research, where publication was a way of life, medico-legal medicine provided another challenge. Here there was publication of - 'MLQ System' and 'MLQ Expert' for medico-legal assessment [EMIS Professional Publishing].

• MLQ System' - comprehensive medico-legal questionnaires to help obtain information in personal injury, clinical negligence and disability.

• 'MLQ Expert' - report-writing software to help provide a very comprehensive medical report.

• MLQ System & Expert  - complementary software facilitating both expert witness assessment & report writing.

Medico-Legal Assessment

As a clinical scientist medico-legal medicine was a very attractive proposition, especially when employing the tools of both medicine and science. As a result RDB -

• Regularly adjudicated judicially on disability - Tribunal Services and also was

• Director of the Independent Medical Assessment Service [IMAS].
